One night of decent sleep to go before I jet away to Moscow tomorrow morning. It is amazing when the deadline comes to an end how much you get resolved and how quickly you do it. Today I got my International driving permit. It is a paper exercise and you have to part with £5.50 for this little booklet which is valid for a year. I did some last minute shopping I had to get some items like tyreweld for a flat tyre in the middle of nowhere and some bungees to tie my ruck sack.
I have sorted out the laptop and added sykpe onto it.
Now need to carefully pack and make sure everything goes into the bag. I will be staying in Moscow tomorrow. I have printed all important documents and got organised.
Flight is tomorrow morning 9.15 pm from Heathrow.
I am having a good curry dinner tonight, to get my fix of spices for the month. Guess I wont get much spicy food while on the drive...
Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed in the things you did not do than the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain This Blog is about my plans and a trip on the Trans-Siberian Highway in July 2011. The trip is being driven in a Subaru. Initial plans to drive in a Lada have fallen through. Please feel free to follow
Good luck on your journey! We will be keeping track of your progress on this side of the pond.

One last curry fix and one last hug from your daughter in the morning!!! Two things you'll barely survive without for a month.
