Sunday night (17/07/11)

We have completed 1000 km so far today. But have no motels to stay in. The last one we stopped had 3 beds but no shower. So we have decided to push on. The next nearest settlement is about 100km away. On the map 3 roads meet at this settlement and hopefully we should find something suitable for the night. If all else fails we will camp and move on in the morning. This journey cannot be done without a tent as you need to ensure you have a place to bed down for the night. We have the basics of food and water. This part of the route is quite remote and has very few passing cars. Thankfully it is bright till late. The infrastructure and petrol stations are now poor. So we fill up at half tank intervals to be sure we have plenty of fuel.
