Currently stopped for lunch. Lunch is Borsch soup a favoruite dish in Russia followed by pork with mushrooms and tea.

We are approx 20 km to Kurgan and we are trying to get to Omsk this evening. We don't have multiple visa to cut through Kazakstan so have to skirt round the top of it.
Soup was good. Waiting for main course.
Road conditions are good. Average speed approx 77.7 km per hour
Total distance covered 2200 kms covered.

Omsk is the 7th largest city in Russia and went from military fortification to city thanks to the arrival of the tran-siberian railway in the early part of the 20th century. It was once hailed as the 'Chicago of Siberia,' the fall of the Soviet hasn't led to the rate of economic growth that other cities in Russia have seen.
