First stop. City of Suzdal

Over 1000 years old a medieval city in the district of Vladimir. We stopped and visited the city. It is huge and stuck back in the passage oif time. Romantic with lots of weddings and Russian brides taking photos. A touristic market town with stall and tourist stuff. We had a traditional Russian drink made from Rye. It was refeshing and needed. Temperatures are in the 30s and it is humid. Very much like SL.
We had lunch there and it was typical Russian. A cold soup went down well and the meat and potato dish was welcomed.
I have now settled at the back of the car to have a different view.
There is quite a bit of traffic on the road. It can be quite heavy near the big towns.

On the way we passed several markets and vendors. One did catch my attention it sold weapons and helmets and military clothing!! I was amused but we could not stop as it was on the other side of the motorway.
I am sure it won't be the last one we see.
Drivers here are a bit hell raising. I have driven around a bit and I found drivers in SL quite silly. In Italy they are Uunruly. Here they are silly, unruly and fast. So hopefully any mistake and pain will be quick!!! No one gives in and when you do they are totally confused!!

Suzdal, is famed for it many churches. At one point in it's history there was 40 churches for 400 families. While still a city, it has a population of 10,000 a popular tourist town it has retained it's village charm. Attached are a few pictures I took around the city.
