After another hearty breakfast with our hosts we have left at 8am this morning. Breakfast was roast beef and salads. Plus the traditional pancakes and curd. The table is full of traditional delicacies and plenty of tea. Tea in Russia is drunk the traditional way. In a pot with fresh tea leaves. The Russians have a love for Ceylon tea. It seems to stem from the 70s when the SL government sold them tea for technology and other items. This has still impressed them. However we need to continue to capitalize on it..
Irek and his family are very hospitable people. They gave up their rooms for us and we had a free run of the house. They gave us gifts as we left their home. Plus a bag of food for the journey ahead. It is true the world has 90 percent good people and only10 percent bad!
