We left Moscow last Friday. We have done approx 4000km plus so far and ahead of time to pick up Mojmir on the 11th of July.
We have had time to spend in the Altay mountains. Remote and very very different. Not a shop nor motel. We have camped for two days at very beautiful sites.
Life has stood still in these parts. People seem to getting about their chores.
As for me this week has been a real eye opener. It is what you see on the TV and on National Geographic channels. The real thing. I am thrilled I did it. Will always be indebted to Andrei for organizing this trip and I never missed the chance.
Some of the finest scenery in my life and plenty of it. For those of you reading this blog and can make this journey do it. I have realized Russia is not Moscow. Travel while it is still in a preserved state. It won't be long before these regions get commercialized and you come to stay at the Hilton Altay.
When we started this blog we did not expect more 20 or 30. I am surprised at the following the team has. Stats reveal we have a following from around the globe and from far away as Aus and Canada. Thanks for the support. We will keep blogging and of course advise you of our next escapades and adventures we intend planning and organizing.. Crossing Greenland has been discussed but more to follow on this topic later.
