Russian Cars and Motoring

Most of you know the Volga and the Lada. The old and new cars are very much about. Some quite sick and some new. Renault now own 25 percent of the Lada company.
I am told by Paul Joseph the Lada was sold in Sri Lanka and was nicknamed the Leda ( patient in sinhalese). A joke srilankans will understand.

To fill petrol in Russia you have to pay first. So you need to estimate how much your car will take, pay for it and fill what you paid for. Some services stations are very modern. Others have a hole in the blacked out window to pay the attendant who can see you but you cannot see them. BP the UK oil company operates here and has the usual fill first pay later model. Interesting!!
